Trends to Try Out this Spring
This spring, style trends are exciting, colorful, and comfortable (can I get an “Amen”?). We can say officially say buh-bye to 2020 and cold temperatures with these wearable looks. Trends like these are what your Effortlyss Style personal stylist will be keeping in mind for this upcoming season. Let’s get to it, shall we?!
Fashion that inspires JOY:
Think Color! Bright blues, greens, yellows, and especially Pinks. These colors, even mixed together, can evoke happiness and joy when we see them. Many outfits that went down the runway consisted of colors that lay opposite on the color wheel, such as Purples and Yellows, or Orange and Blues. But the color that made the most influence for this Spring was PINK! From Bubblegum pink to Hot pink to Baby Pink...they were everywhere, and we loved it. This look can be worked into our wardrobe easily, such as a Hot Pink belt or wearing a Red top with a Bright blue jacket. Go for it!
Beautifully Comfortable:
Most of us are still working from home and living that ZOOM life. By now, many of us have worn out our sweats, leggings, and that old ratty hoodie that your ex left at your house 3 years ago. This trend is definitely ideal. Fancy sweats and coordinating lounge sets are ALL over the runways and insta models. Silk joggers, logo embellished sweatshirt, even velour loungewear?! Ummm, yes, yes, and yes!
Puffed Sleeves:
We saw some of this look even last Fall and we couldn’t get enough of it! So needless to say, we are relieved this trend is here to stay. Puffed sleeves and shoulders really can give a nice look to an otherwise basic look. Consider tops and even Jackets and Trench coats featuring these puffed sleeves. This is a great way to include a trend into your wardrobe. Picture a basic white or camel colored top with long puffed sleeves paired with a pencil skirt…. *swooning*.
Loose and Fancy Free Bottoms:
Loose and oversized and baggy – OH MY! The 90s trends are still here and are stronger than ever. Pants and jeans are no exception. Now listen we are not talking slouchy and sloppy, just less structured and more relaxed. Think less Shawn Hunter and more Gwen Stefani when she was in No Doubt (but like high waisted, ya know?). Try this trend by starting with an oversized jacket with shoulder pads, together with straight or slim fitting pants, or even shorts. This could be an excellent go-to look for this spring.
Strong Shoulders:
Shoulder Pads are back (We can’t believe it either). This is a look you can expect to start seeing everywhere. Exaggerated and bold shoulders, done in a puff, or with ruffles, or with an extreme pointy padding will be seen in retail shops everywhere.
There you have it ...our 5 favorite fashion trends for Spring of 2021. And ladies, these aren’t going to be fleeting; they aren’t going to last for just one Spring season. Some of these will be around for a while and may be worth the money and worth a try. Our personal stylists here at Effortlyss Style, appreciate these trends, and are interested in how they can add these to your wardrobe in a way that you’ll love and use often.
