Fall Trends to try Out in 2021

Fall Trends 2021

It's FINALLY here - flannels, jackets, and layers. OH MY! It's fall, y'all.

Why is it that every season, we all get so excited to update our wardrobes? We have spring shopping, fall shopping and winter. We all place a lot of value in what we wear and what’s trending currently. The years 2020 and 2021 have brought us some unique and eclectic styles. The popular 90s looks have resurfaced as well as this “old money”, vintage 80s looks with head scarves and fun sunglasses.

So what about this fall, what should you wear? What should you buy? What should you pull out of the back of your closet? Let's dive in:

#1 Oversized Jackets and Coats.

We saw this coming with the baggy and big shirts that we all wore summer.

Grab yourself an oversized blazer, coat or big t-shirt, pair it with jeans, leggings or a skirt. Something else that’s nice about this look is that you could easily add a thick turtleneck or sweater underneath when it gets colder.

#2 Corduroy has made its appearance again.

Let’s admit it, they’re fun. They add a simple spice to any outfit. Plus they are thicker than normal pants so they’re warm too!

#3 Denim - We know, could we be more basic? BUT denim is in people, and most importantly - structured denim is in. Say bye bye to those skinny jeans, okay?

Light wash mom jeans

Straight legs, high waisted and low rise are all showing their presence right now. Especially the light wash. We’ve seen this movement towards comfort and baggy to fight the body image issues the US has. Lucky, these jeans go with anything. They are timeless, so you can wear them year around and still be up to date with the ever changing trends.

#4 Cognac Leather

LET'S GOOOO. This is a trend we are drooling over.

This trend nothing complicated at all. It’s simply a mix of the two biggest trends right now, neutrals and leather! We'd say that accessories done in beige leather are pretty big, but beige blazers, pants, shirts and dresses are coming in even hotter. And not to forget, beige leather skirts are also having their moment. There’s a vague retro vibe attached to brown leathers, that often goes and in hand with brown, animal prints and all things earthy colors. So this is definitely a moment to embrace knee-high boots, turtlenecks, oversized glasses and layered outfits.

There are many more style trends not mentioned here, but these are some basics that are easy to find and can be worn universally in your life. Dress it up for Saturday brunch or a night out on the town. Our fashion world is becoming more casual and comfortable, which I’m personally here for! Enjoy the new season and the new clothes!
